Traffic change in Bainbridge Monday

BAINBRIDGE – New York State Department of Transportation announced that removal and reconstruction of State Route 7 Bridge in the Village of Bainbridge will begin at 7 a.m. on June 15. Motorists will encounter alternating one-way traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal.  Traffic on Johnson Street will be reduced to northbound traffic only for the duration of the project. A detour will be in place extending from Freiot Avenue to Kirby Street to State Route 206 for travelers wishing to access Johnson Street.  Flag personnel will be on location to guide traffic. This work is expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 4.
