OV elementary school stages Willy Wonka Kids

GEORGETOWN – On Friday and Saturday night, fifth and sixth grade students at Otselic Valley Elementary School in Georgetown staged a production of Willy Wonka Kids.

Based on the book “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl, the students performed two stagings of the show, which tells the classic tale of a young boy, Charlie, who wins a tour of the famous Wonka Chocolate Factory. Students took on the roles of the contest winners, Willy Wonka and his band of factory workers, the Oompa Loompas, as part of their entirely student run production. This marked the fourth year the elementary school has performed such a show.
