AG’s office brings ‘Project Sunlight’ to Norwich tonight

NORWICH – A representative from Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s office is speaking to members of the public at Guernsey Memorial Library at 6:30 tonight about giving the public increased access to information on governmental decision-making processes. The presentation will be given by Dennis C. McCabe, Assistant Attorney General In Charge of the Binghamton Regional Office. This event is hosted by Honorable Joseph P. Maiurano, Mayor of Norwich.

The Project Sunlight website, the first of its kind in the State, provides easy access to campaign finance, lobbying, agency contracts, member item, and legislative databases. New Yorkers can go on this website to see where their tax dollars are being spent and how their representatives are voting on key issues. This event is part of Cuomo’s broader statewide outreach efforts to inform the public about Project Sunlight and how it can be utilized.
