GREENE – On June 17 the Greene Central School District’s board of education confirmed the appointment of Jonathan Retz as the district’s new superintendent. Retz, who has served as the a middle school principal with the Letchworth Central School District in Wyoming County for the past seven years, will replace retiring administrator Gary Smith. His first day on the job will be September 1.

“He and his family are looking forward to making the move to Greene,” said Secretary to the Superintendent Theresa Brant, who was involved with the search process.
