Bridge inspection tomorrow
NORWICH – New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) announced today, that bridge inspection will be performed on the East Main Street Bridge over the Chenango River in the Town of Norwich, Chenango County beginning at 9:30 a.m. on July 16. Motorists will encounter alternating lane closures in the eastbound and westbound directions on East Main Street within the work zone. Flag personnel will be on site to guide traffic. Work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Thursday, weather permitting.
As motorists approach work zones, it is advised to stay alert and calm. Slow down when instructed to do so. Merge safely. Keep a safe distance between vehicles. Obey the posted signs within the work zone. Expect the unexpected.
