Grand jury indicts two

NORWICH – The Chenango County grand jury met Wednesday and indicted two people on felony charges.
Dustin J. Burns, 21, of Coventry was indicted for third and fourth degree grand larceny after the jury found there was enough evidence to implicate him in stealing a 2000 Yamaha four-wheeler, worth approximately $3,200, from a Coventry residence. He is also charged with the misdemeanor petit larceny in connection to the crime.
Michael R. Haskins, 37, of Norwich, was charged with first degree criminal nuisance for allegedly allowing his residence to be use as a drug front. The jury believed there was enough evidence to suggest Haskins let other individuals conduct cocaine sales from and at his residence with his knowledge in May.
Both are scheduled to appear in Chenango County Supreme Court July 31 to answer to the charges.
