NORWICH – Tonight at the Blarney Stone Pub, local band Panhandle will be celebrating the release of their latest album with a show at 9 p.m. The band’s album, titled “Backhills,” was recorded in the Greene area last fall.
Lead guitarist and vocalist Nate Gross of Oxford said of the album, “It’s a roots-rock album, with heavy acoustic guitars. It’s definitely not country, but it has some country overtones.”
Panhandle will be playing a show and selling their album at the Blarney Stone Pub on Broad Street in downtown Norwich tonight. “Backhills” goes on sale Monday and can be found locally at stores such as Hoppie’s in Oxford.
Panhandle will follow this appearance with a sizable tour of upstate New York, which lasts until Nov. 25. “We have a lot of dates, we play a lot. We just got back from the South and are ready to perform,” Gross said.
