Extension announces new interim executive director

NORWICH – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County has announced the appointment of Terry Gifford as interim executive director, replacing former Executive Director Keith Severson, who retired on July 15 after over 30 years of service through Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Gifford, a native of Masonville, recently retired from a 38-year career with Cornell Cooperative Extension during which he served as a 4H agent and executive director in Genesee County, executive director in Monroe County, and state extension specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension Administration. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in agriculture, received a master’s degree in public administration from SUNY Brockport, and is a certified senior human resource professional.
