NORWICH – The Garden Clubs of Chenango County will present their annual Standard Flower Show at the Chenango County Fair next week, Aug. 11-16. The theme of this year’s show is “Holiday Impressions.”

This is a Standard Flower Show judged according to National Garden Club standards and guidelines and the requirements of the Federated Garden Clubs of NYS. All classes are open to residents of Chenango County or any member of a Chenango County garden club. Entries will be accepted in order of postmark or personal contact at the Fair office, PO Box 622, Chenango County Fairgrounds, 168 East Main St., Norwich.

The main gate office will be open for entries from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Entries close at noon tomorrow.

Horticulture entries will be placed from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 11 a.m. Monday. Design entries will be placed from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to noon Monday. Judging will being at 1 p.m. Monday. All exhibits must be removed by 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
