Senator Libous ready to beat prostate cancer
BINGHAMTON – Senator Tom Libous (R-C-I Binghamton) last week was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
“I feel great,” said Libous. “I’ve got more energy than ever and I’m going to keep fighting for the hardworking people of the Southern Tier.”
Libous, 56, said a routine PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test administered as part of his annual physical exam showed elevated levels of the antigen that is used in detecting prostate cancer. His physician recommended follow up tests and procedures to confirm the diagnosis.
