Oxford Class of ‘45 reunites

OXFORD – The Oxford Class of ‘45 celebrated their 64th Class Reunion at Fred’s Inn, Aug. 16.
Eleven classmates who had attended the “Academy,” as it was known in the 1930s, graduated in 1945. Their memories take them back through the 30s and the 40s - recalling the Depression, the building of the Oxford Post Office, and December 7th - Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor.
Looking back we recognize that with all the obstacles the Class of ‘45 are proud of the Village of Oxford, the Academy and the support of the community during their years at Oxford Academy.

Kathryn Rice Paden, Esther Stratton Finn, Robert Fowlston, Dorothy Walker Race, Catherine Cowles McKenzie, John Biviano, Frank Carlin, Ila Finch, Leonard Quinn. Attended, but missing from picture: Ruth Murray and Harold McKenzie.
