Public Health, Rotary, P&C plan “Celebration of Your Child’s Health”
NORWICH – The Chenango County Health Department and Norwich Rotary will be holding their annual “Celebration of Your Child’s Health” event on Friday, Sept. 25 at P&C Food Pharmacy, 54 East Main Street from 3-7 p.m.
Parents and children are invited to come and enjoy the food, fun and activities. Participating agencies are: The Norwich City Fire Dept., The Sheriffs’ Dept who will perform Child Finger Printing, and The Norwich City Police will offer Bike Safety Checks. Public Health will also be on site to review childrens’ shot records and set up appointments for a future clinic or refer to your child’s MD.
Also on hand with interesting health information will be Norwich Rotary, Chenango Memorial Hospital, The Place, YMCA, The Chenango Child Care Council, Chenango Health Network, Opportunities for Chenango, & Eat Smart New York offering nutritional ideas. Others will include Catholic Charities & PCAP.
As a special treat for the Kids: Blaze the Dog will be there along with his pals the Obedience Dogs. Also, there will be face painting and games.
Parents must bring a child’s shot record and have it reviewed by the nurses in order to enter to win raffle prizes: an iPod Shuffle, 26’’ bike, Adidas wristwatch, or a backpack filled with new school supplies.
No shots will be given at this event.
