Boys’ Soccer

Otselic Valley 2, Stockbridge Valley 0
SOUTH OTSELIC – Dusty Davis’ move to the front line for Wednesday’s game against Stockbridge Valley proved the correct adjustment to a lineup depleted by injury and absence.
Davis scored twice for the Vikings (6-3-1), once in each half, as OV won its second game this week by shutout.
“We had some kids not able to play, so we had to shuffle the lineup,” said Vikings coach Dave Loomis, who said Davis moved from center midfielder to forward. “Dusty was one of the kids injured against DeRuyter, and I didn’t want him in a position where he had to force himself. He was able to pick and choose from the forward spot, and he picked the right times tonight.”
Davis dribbled the ball in from 35 yards out toward the goal, beating a couple of SV defenders before sliding the ball in. He added his second goal in similar fashion, although he took a longer shot that found the net.
Brandon Coye made seven saves to earn the shutout.
Summary
(1-0 at half)
Goals-assists: (OV) Dusty Davis, 2-0
Shots-corners: (OV) 12-4 (S) 9-3.
Saves: (OV) Brandon Coye, 7, (S) Reeder, 8.
