United Methodist Homes to sell Gilmour Nursing Facility

NORWICH – United Methodist Homes is selling the Pearl and Everett Gilmour Nursing Facility in Norwich. This decision was based in part on several years of declining state and federal reimbursements, according to a press release issued this morning. The buyer was not named.

“The United Methodist Homes Board of Directors has accepted an offer from a for-profit organization whose principals are experienced operators who own several proprietary residential health care facilities in New York State,” the press release stated. At the time of closing, the new owner will offer employment to current Gilmour staff.

The contract for the sale of the facility is subject to and contingent upon the receipt of necessary approvals and the satisfaction of customary due diligence conditions.
