Schumer visits future site of Agro Farma today
NORWICH – U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer will visit Procter & Gamble’s Woods Corners facility today to tour a portion of the future site of Project Campus, a large economic development project of Agro Farma Inc. He’ll see firsthand the planned changes to accommodate the project and hold a media conference at 11:40 a.m. today.
Due in part to its successful launch of Chobani Yogurt, Agro Farma Inc. is looking to expand by working to acquire the Procter & Gamble facility in Norwich. The project will consist of three separate manufacturing operations which will expand the local tax base, create between 275-350 full-time jobs, and provide an economic boost to upstate dairy farmers.
