OXFORD – Oxford won the showdown of unbeaten division leaders creating a wide bulge in the second quarter after B-G’s starting forward Ryan Porter went down with an injury.

“After Porter was hurt, that made a bit of a difference,” said Oxford coach Tim Davis. “We switched defenses and applied more pressure to their guards. We were able to convert some easy baskets off turnovers and got things going.”

Cory Seiler racked up 19 points to lead the Blackhawks (5-0, 7-5), who are on track for another appearance in the MAC championship game.

Steve Patten and Justin Pepper scored 12 points apiece for B-G (4-1, 4-6).
