Sledding night in Oxford this Friday
OXFORD – Tim McDonald is crossing his fingers and hoping to see more snow before Friday. No, the Oxford Primary School principal isn’t looking for a snow day. He just wants there to be enough of the fluffy white stuff so there is a good base for Family Sledding Night.
The event, sponsored by the Primary School’s Shared Decision Making Team, will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Oxford Academy Football Field. (The actually sledding will take place not on the field itself, of course, but on the hill behind it.)
McDonald said he is looking forward to both the sledding and the chance to interact with students and their families. Building these relationships is important, he explained, because they help develop a sense of community at the school.
