Girl Scouts join Norwich Campus SGO to support troops

NORWICH – Girl Scout Troop 547 has partnered with the Morrisville State College Norwich Campus Student Government Organization (SGO), continuing to show thanks to American soldiers stationed in Iraq through its Troop Care Package project.

The project, originally slated to run for a single semester, has been a huge success, according to Coordinator for Academic Support Services Jeri O’Bryan-Losee, who said that community support has been “tremendous.”

As part of its Gift of Caring project, Troop 547 donated 100 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to the 57th Military Police Company in Iraq, a troop favorite according to O’Bryan-Losee, as well as offering the SGO its remaining supply of nuts and candies from a recent fundraiser.
