Windsor 9, Norwich 6

NORWICH – Norwich was unable to protect its early advantage, and two errors in the sixth inning helped Windsor take the lead for good in Wednesday’s game for the Purple Tornado.

“We did a lot of good things, but the first time out, the tale of the tape was that we made three errors, and they made none,” said Norwich coach John Martinson.

With Norwich clinging to a one-run lead entering the sixth, Brandon Kimble had a one-out double to start the inning. After a walk and a throwing error scored the first run, David Goetz’s two-run single tied the game. Goetz would eventually come around to score on another fielding error.
