New Berlin man arrested for arson
NORWICH – New York State Police in Norwich have arrested Jeffrey A. Maxson, 44, of New Berlin, for second degree arson, a class B Felony.
The arrest was made following an investigation completed by the New York State Police and Chenango County Fire Investigators into a fire that destroyed a residence located at 5156 State Route 8 in the Town of New Berlin.
Maxson was arraigned in the Town of Oxford Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
