Meet the Candidates Night rescheduled
NORWICH – The Meet the Candidates Night originally scheduled for May 13 has been rescheduled due to a conflict with another event. The forum, sponsored by the Norwich Parent, Teacher and Student Association, will now take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12 in the Stanford Gibson Elementary School Auditorium.
According to District Clerk Pam Salvati, a total of eight candidates turned petitions in prior to the April 28 deadline. Those candidates are incumbents Bob Patterson and Bill Loomis, as well as Clyde Birch, Mark Hollifield, Dr. Linda Horowitz, Heather Collier, Thomas Morrone and David Older.
The names of each of these individuals will appear on the May 18 ballot, as they vie for three vacant board of education seats. Parents and community members will have the opportunity to meet each of the candidates and hear their stance on issues facing the district at the PTSA event.
