Recycle, donate to cause that helps animals
OXFORD – Recycle and redeem bottles and cans while donating to a volunteer organization that is dedicated to helping animals.
All Animals Matter, Inc. has erected a bottle receptacle on the grounds of Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital, 198 Grandview Lane in Norwich. It is open to the public during normal business hours.
According to President Diane Troxell of Oxford, the new shed was purchased and erected in a collaborative effort with help from Curtis Lumber of Norwich and Gerry Reiss, Kim Begeal and David Emerson, all of Oxford.
Over the past year, All Animals Matter, Inc. has assisted in the cost of spaying or neutering more than 125 cats and dogs, primarily in Chenango County. The organization has also contributed to the medical bills and emergency medical care of pets in need.
“Dr. Teresa Mandracchia of Norwich has been our vet of choice and we would like to extend our gratitude to her at this time and for allowing us to have the bottle shed alongside her parking lot,” said Troxell.
All Animals Matter will offer a few animals for adoption at the June 19th Curtis Lumber Petpalooza event, and sponsors an Annual Mum Sale with Pires Flower Basket of Norwich beginning in August through September.
