NORWICH – The Norwich City Police arrested a wanted parolee Friday after chasing him twice the day before and launching a search through several area neighborhoods.

On Friday at about 10 a.m., police responding to a tip found Gary L. Nichols Jr., 30, of Norwich, hiding out at an Elm Street apartment.

Police began looking for Nichols last week after the New York State Division of Parole reported he violated the terms of his release and issued a warrant for his arrest.
