Register to vote in September primary

NORWICH – The last day to apply for registration and enrollment for the Sept. 14 Primary Election is Friday, Aug. 20. Mail registrations must be postmarked by Aug. 20 and received by the Chenango County Board of Elections by Aug. 25.
The last day to update your address for the 2010 primary is Aug. 25. Forms must be received by 5 p.m.
The public may register at the County Board of Elections, Chenango County Office Building, 5 Court St., Norwich, in person or by calling 337-1760 or 337-1762 to request a mail registration form.
Anyone physically disabled, or persons who will not be in Chenango County between the primary voting hours of noon through 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14 are eligible to vote by applying for an absentee ballot.
The Board is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., including lunch hour, Monday through Friday.
You must be registered in the political party having a primary to be eligible to vote in a primary election.
