SOUTH PLYMOUTH – A reorganizational meeting for the South Plymouth Cemetery Association is set for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Fire House Conference Room at 3676 State Hwy. 23 West at Stewart’s Corners.

The purpose is to discuss plans to establish a working Board to get the cemetery back in good condition. A new Board of Directors will be elected including new offices. The current association corporation appears to have lost it’s corporate status along with its 501c13 nonprofit tax exemption for failure to hold regular annual meetings and the timely filing of required annual reports according to three of the state agencies that have oversight authority.

Any person(s) who have relatives there and are the deeded owners of plots, crypts, cremation urns have voting powers under the NYS Cemetery Laws.
