BAINBRIDGE – Under the lights Tuesday night, Bainbridge-Guilford won its first MAC division game, and improved to 2-1 on the season blanking Afton.
Jordan Smith scored 10 minutes into the game on a direct kick from 25 yards out. Smith tacked on his second goal five minutes later from almost the identical spot. Brooks Harmon added his third goal of the season, and Devon Rivera scored twice in the win.
“We were moving the ball around really well tonight, and it was nice to have five different goal scorers,” said B-G coach Pete Feltham.
B-G hosts Oxford Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

OXFORD – Two of Oxford’s three wins Tuesday afternoon came by forfeit in a victory over the Trojans Tuesday.
Kristen Audas won at first singles for the Blackhawks topping Erica Smith, 6-2, 6-3. Paige Taylor responded for the Trojans with a victory at second singles.
The Trojans forfeited third singles and second doubles to all but concede the loss.

Singles: Kristen Audas (O) defeated Erica Smith (G), 6-2, 6-3. Paige Taylor (G) defeated Annmarie Paster (O), 6-1, 5-7. Charlene Beckwith (O) won by forfeit.

SIDNEY – A three-goal halftime lead was not enough for Sidney, who needed to keep the goals coming in the second half to prevail over Harpursville Monday.
Harpursville put all three of its goals on the board in the second half with Amanda Frayer finishing with a hat trick.
Afton had two goals apiece from Kristen Jones and Lyndsay Delello to spearhead the offense. Sidney (1-0) plays at Maine-Endwell Thursday.
