Healing arts coming to Colorscape this year
NORWICH – There’s something new coming to the 16th Annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival in downtown Norwich, Sept. 11 and 12 – healing arts.
“This is something completely new to Colorscape,” said Colorscape Executive Director Peggy Finnegan. “It was presented to us, and we found it fascinating, and we think a good fit for the festival.”
The Healing Arts booth will offer samples of Reiki and Reconnective Healing, guided meditations, essential oil demos, and a sacred healing water ceremony. Visitors to the booth also can take mini-workshops that allow the inner child to play, dream, create and have fun.
“We recognize that art takes on many shapes and forms and is very healing to everyone as a means of self-expression,” said Renee Guidelli, of H.E.A.R.T. Centered Living (HCL), a community of healers, artists, and eco-friendly businesses and individuals whose goal is to share from the “heart” for your heart.
“HCL empowers individuals and groups of people to understand their purpose as it relates to their surrounding connections with everyone and everything,” said Guidelli.

Located on the greens of East and West Parks in the city of Norwich, Colorscape features over 90 juried artists and crafters selling their wares in an interactive atmosphere that includes artist demonstrations, literary and arts activities for all ages, student art exhibits, a competitive poetry slam and the finest in creative food.
