NORWICH – Chenango County Treasurer William E. Evans reported sales tax collections through the second quarter of 2010 signaled 2.9 percent in growth.

Collections ticked down .04 percent in Chenango County after the first three months of 2010, remaining relatively flat from the fourth quarter in 2009.

“Things are looking better. It was softer back in the first quarter,” he said.
