"Jekyll & Hyde" debuts during Colorscape weekend

In conjunction with Colorscape, “Jekyll and Hyde The Musical” will be performed at The Martin W. Kappel Theater in Norwich this weekend. A production of the Afton Community Theater, “Jekyll” is a heart-pounding musical tale of the epic battle between good and evil based on Robert Stevenson’s classic story of a brilliant doctor whose experiments with the human personality. However, when his experiment backfires, Jekyll inadvertently gives life to Edward Hyde, his evil alter ego, a murderous being who will let loose a reign of terror on the city of London and those who had ridiculed Jekyll’s research.
Murder and chaos run rampant and evil lurks around every corner, but love and virtue put up a strong fight in this captivating thriller. With a lush musical score, “Jekyll” will captivate audiences.
The Scimmerling Law Offices will present “Jekyll and Hyde the Musical” at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights at the Chenango County Council of the Arts, 27 W. Main St., Norwich. Adult tickets are $15; students and seniors are $12.
