Statewide effort, “$25 on the 25th,” to support Main Streets throughout NYS

NORWICH – Mayor Joe Maiurano is urging city residents to take part in the “$25 on the 25th” promotional event Saturday in an effort to support Main Street businesses during these troubled economic times. The campaign is sponsored by the New York State Conference of Mayors in partnership with the New York Press Association and the New York State Economic Development Council.

“The ‘$25 on the 25th’ campaign will give New Yorkers a concrete way to support local merchants and will encourage New Yorkers to shop locally on Sept. 25, spending at least $25 at a local store or stores,” said Maiurano. “If successful, the ‘$25 on the 25th’ campaign will be repeated.”
