10th Annual Branham Cup contested
Some three dozen golfers, hailing mainly from the Chenango County area, participated in the 10th Annual Branham Cup last weekend, an annual fall tournament that follows the scoring format used in the Ryder Cup. Played at Bluestone Golf Course in Oxford, the teams were captained by David Branham and Bob Branham, and termed “Us vs. Them.” The “Us” team, led by David Branham, retained the Cup – named in honor of the Branhams’ father, William Branham – by a single point as the final outcome was not determined until the last match was completed. The “Us” team currently holds a 5-4-1 overall lead.
