NORWICH – Hart’s Electrical Service will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special customer appreciation day and Open House, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at 49 Silver St.

Established by Raymond and Laura Hart in 1960 – and originally run out of their King Street home – Hart’s Electrical Service focused solely on electrical work in its early days, according to current owner Duffy Hart.

Soon after establishing the business, the couple relocated to a small commercial space which no longer exists, on the corner of Front and South Broad Streets. In 1970, after a decade in business, Hart’s Electrical Service moved to its current location on Silver Street.

According to Hart, he and wife Donna purchased the family business from his parents in 1989 and they’ve remained committed to providing friendly, quality service for the local community.
