NORWICH – An informational forum, “Facts About Gas Drilling” is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the United Church of Christ, First Congregational, 11 W. Main St.. The panelists are Dr. Ron Bishop, Lecturer, Department of Chemistry, SUNY-Oneonta and Lou Allstadt, retired Executive Vice-President of Mobil Oil Corporation who will share their insights, expertise and experiences regarding natural gas drilling as well as take questions from the floor.

This event is free and open to the public;  community leaders and elected local officials have been invited. It is just asked that attendees please park on the street, in the Hayes St. or county office building parking lots; not in the church’s parking area in back.
