Jeremy Wallace Trio brings the blues to the EOH Arts Café

EARLVILLE – Jeremy Wallace is “Americana with a Bite!” His work has been described as, “a little folk, a tinge of rock, some country and loaded with gritty blues.”  Wallace’s dynamic songs are just the right thing for tough times, when the Blues are our best national resource for fighting our troubles with creativity, humor and good times!
The Jeremy Wallace Trio comes to the Earlville Opera House Arts Café on Friday, Nov. 19, at 8 p.m.  He has been compared to Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett and Bruce Springsteen, to name a few. It is his songwriting and gritty delivery that attract comparison. His songs are spirited anthems of lost love and haunting melodies of wistful redemption that invite delight with their detailed storytelling and dynamic phrasing.
“Wallace has emerged as one of the most exciting additions to our roster in recent years. Discovering his ‘old school’ whiskey-and-cigarette voice, vintage guitar, and unforgettable lyrics is pure heaven for anyone serious about American roots music.” - Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs.
One of Dylan’s early influences was legendary acoustic musician, Dave Van Ronk. The late Van Ronk says of Jeremy, “He’s one of the most arresting new talents I’ve ever heard. When I hear him I get the feeling I got the first time I heard Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie.” Take a listen at http://www.myspace.com/jeremywallacemusic.
Jeremy Wallace’s live performances draw captivated and hungry audiences who yearn for a musician that will move and surprise them. Wallace has, in a short time, gone from playing small gigs in New York to drawing fans to larger venues and festivals throughout the Tri-State area and New England including Maxwell’s in Hoboken, The Greenwich Village Music Festival, Rodeo Bar and Brownies in New York City. In addition to his own shows, Wallace has enjoyed opening for such notable acts as Dave Van Ronk, John Hammond and Freedy Johnston.
Join the Jeremy Wallace Trio for an evening of restrained power and vibrant honesty guaranteed to fight the blues in the Arts Café on Nov. 19.  Tickets are $15, $13 EOH members, $10 students.  The Café will have reserved seating for this performance, and seating is limited to 50, so call early to reserve a seat! Delicious refreshments will be available in the Kitchen, including hot and cold drinks and desserts.
