Cornelius said the jazz ensemble was tapped to perform in an effort to draw more public attention to the local college and the services and programs it provides. In addition, she reported that those in attendance will have an opportunity to win an iPad or Kindle if they visit any table showcasing a program they may be interested in.

“The high school jazz band is such a popular group with local residents that it made sense to bring them to our open house for the first time this year,” stated Cornelius. “We’re really hoping to see a large turnout and this was the perfect way to try and make that happen.”
