Wanted man points shotgun at troopers

GUILFORD – At approximately 2:25 p.m. Monday, the New York State Police at Sidney responded to 1472 County Route 35 in the Town of Guilford, in an attempt to locate 26 year old Bradley J. Romano, who was wanted on a bench warrant for second degree assault, a Class “D” Felony.

While at the residence, Romano pointed a 16-gauge shotgun at the troopers, according to a press release issued this morning. As the troopers took cover, Romano fled the residence on foot, leaving the shotgun behind. A foot pursuit ensued and Romano was located and apprehended a short time later on Joslyn Road in the Town of Guilford. The shotgun was recovered from the residence, police said.
