Oxford Rotary Club scores in the community
OXFORD – The Clyde Cole Wrestling Tournament is one of the premier high school wrestling tournaments in New York State. It’s co-hosted each year on the first Friday and Saturday in December by the Oxford Rotary Club and the Oxford Academy & Central High School. Many members from the Oxford Rotary and other community volunteers make this the success that it is, just passing its 48th year, attracting several hundred people annually to the Village of Oxford.
The Rotary Club of Oxford had member volunteers like June and Gary Phillips selling tickets December 3rd and 4th, at the Oxford Academy High School. Other Club members were busy preparing food in the cafeteria to serve the more than 250 wrestlers from 15 exceptional wrestling teams from throughout upstate New York and Pennsylvania, including their friends and families who come to watch the competition.
