Norwich Family YMCA to host 2nd annual Chili Cook-Off

NORWICH – The Norwich Family YMCA will host its second annual Chili Cook-Off from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, with all proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society and the Boston-based Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Last year’s cook-off raised approximately $400 which went to aid UNICEF and the children of Haiti following a catastrophic January 2010 earthquake, said YMCA Youth and Family Director Bonnie Tiffany.

“We decided this year to keep the money raised a little closer to home,” said Tiffany. “This is such a wonderful family and community event, and it’s benefiting a great cause.”
