Miller, Andrews, Brown get nod from Greene Republicans
GREENE – Three Greene residents received the endorsement of the Village of Greene Republican Party following a caucus on Saturday.
Marcia E. Miller secured the party’s nomination for village mayor, while Rod Andrews and Phil Brown were both endorsed by the Republicans in their bid for election as village trustees.
Miller is seeking her third term; as is Andrews. Brown seeks his first elected term on the board of trustees. The Greene native has served on the village’s zoning board for six years. The seat he seeks is being vacated by Trustee Ron Williamson. Williamson, who has served on the board for 16 years, has decided not to seek re-election.
Miller, Andrews and Brown will all appear on the ballot in the village election, to be held on Tuesday, March 15. Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on that day in the board room at Village Hall, 49 Genesee Street in Greene.
