NORWICH – NBT Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Dietrich announced that United Health Services President and CEO Matthew Salanger has been appointed to the bank’s board of directors.

Since April 2007, Salanger has served as president and chief executive officer of United Health Services (UHS). The UHS network includes UHS Binghamton General Hospital, UHS Wilson Medical Center, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, UHS Primary Care, UHS Medical Group, UHS Senior Living at Ideal and UHS Home Care.

Salanger also continues to serve as president and chief executive officer for UHS Hospitals, including UHS Binghamton General Hospital and UHS Wilson Medical Center, a position to which he was appointed in March 1994.
