YMCA announces travel team tryouts
NORWICH – Tryouts for the Chenango Vipers’ AAU basketball teams are slated for March 7 and 8 at the Norwich YMCA.
The tryouts are for boys ages 11-13 and girls ages 11-14. The tryout times for boys are March 7 from 7-8 p.m. and March 8 from 6-7 p.m. For the girls, tryout times are inverted with the girls starting at 6 p.m. on March 7, and then following the boys on March 8 at 7 p.m.
To add a player’s name to the tryout list, contact the YMCA at 336-9622. Please note that participation on an AAU team requires a considerable amount of travel, the child must be a member of the YMCA, and there is a $150 fee per player.
