Norwich Campus’ 3rd annual Peeps Diorama Contest to benefit the Chenango SPCA

NORWICH – In one of the more creative displays around, the Norwich branch of Morrisville State College will hold its 3rd annual Peeps Diorama Contest at 6 p.m. on April 14 in the Community Room of the Norwich Campus, 22 Conkey Ave.

The challenge is to create an original scene or setting utilizing the popular Peeps marshmallow candies, said Norwich Campus Dean Marsha Cornelius, preferably in a cardboard box of reasonable size, such as the box cover to a case of copy paper or a large shoebox.

As one of more than two dozen Peeps Diorama Contests nationwide, winners will be recognized in Peeps owner Just Born Inc. news releases and interviews following the competition.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our campus and the entire community to be recognized across the country, and we’re hoping to see a record turnout this year,” said Cornelius. “Every year we see something a little different, and some of the entries are absolutely hilarious.”

In addition, this year’s contest will benefit the Chenango SPCA, added Cornelius, and for a second straight year the competition is open to the public, as well as college faculty, staff and students.
