B-G names Valedictorian, Salutatorian
BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford Central School has named its Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2011.
Caitlin Alyssa Anderson has been announced as the Bainbridge-Guilford Class of 2011 Valedictorian. Caiti lives in Bainbridge and is the daughter of Jeffrey and Victoria Anderson. Throughout her educational experience at B-G, Caiti has embraced many diverse endeavors. Some of Caiti’s academic recognitions include awards in A.P. Calculus, A.P. Literature, Macroeconomics, Physics, Chemistry, and Spanish, while also receiving the Bausch & Lomb Science Award. She has been on the Principal’s honor list for four years.
Outside of the classroom, Caiti has been selected for many leadership activities. These leadership roles have granted Caiti the opportunity to become a confident young woman, and have taught her the importance being an accomplished and reliable role model. For the past two years, she has been on the executive board of Student Council, this year serving as President. This past year, she served as the District 8 representative on the NYSCLSA State Board, and was selected as a member of National Honor Society. During the summer of 2010 she participated in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and received the “Most Enthusiastic RYLAN” award.
An important aspect of Caiti’s high school experience has been her participation in Varsity Soccer, Indoor Track, and Softball. These experiences have enabled Caiti to be a team player and an honest, dedicated athlete both on and off the field.
