NORWICH – No dipping in Kurt Beyer Pool to escape summer’s heat this year as work to replace an exhausted, 1950s era filtration system is expected to take all season.

City of Norwich Mayor Joseph P. Maiurano said arrangements had been made with the Norwich City School District for swimming and instructional programming at the high school pool instead.

“It will be an inconvenience for the summer, but we are very happy to have the cooperative arrangement with the high school,” the mayor said.
