Pigskin Classic still accepting teams
NORTH NORWICH – The Chenango County Pigskin Classic is still accepting teams for its first annual tournament, scheduled Aug. 5-7 at Galena Park in North Norwich.
The 7-on-7 youth touch football tournament is open to kids ages 13-18 and features a senior (18-and-under) and junior division (ages 13-15) with prizes awarded to the top three teams.
Entry into the tournament is $250 per team with each roster requiring a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five 40-minute games. The Pigskin Classic will also provide each team with a game uniform.
The family-friendly event begins with a kickoff party Friday night with registration and Mike’s DJ Service providing entertainment. The party is highlighted by a skills competition open to all participants of all ages with more than 30 prizes up for grabs.
