GREENE – Bainbridge-Guilford picked up its sixth win of the season topping Greene in a back-and-forth contest Thursday.
Greene scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to close the B-G lead to 8-7. The Bobcats gained some needed insurance with three runs in the seventh. Danny Gormley hit a two-run double, and Corbin Palmer followed with an RBI single.
Gormley went 4-for-4 with two RBI, Paul Parsons had two hits including a two-run homer in the first, and Billy Holden had two hits and two RBI for B-G (6-2, 6-3).
Jeff Carlin was a perfect 4-for-4 to lead Greene, who failed to executed a squeeze play in the fifth that would have tied the game. “Greene came out stroking the ball, and the top of their order is pretty solid,” said B-G coach Tim Mattingly. “They have some young kids; their future looks bright.”
B-G hosts Sidney today.

Norwich 12, Windsor 3
WINDSOR – Norwich resumed its winning ways Thursday at Windsor plating nine runs over the final two innings to dispatch the Black Knights.
Brendan McInerney was a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs scored, Lucas Follett had three hits and drove in four runs, Nick McCullough also had three hits, while Mackay Hotaling drove in three runs and Colby Griffin knocked in two.
