Frontier to grow Sherburne workforce
SHERBURNE – Frontier Communications announced that it is adding at least 30 new jobs in its Sherburne Plant and Service Center.
“This area has seen jobs diminishing over the past few years. It’s exciting to share that Frontier is growing, not only across the country, but specifically here in Chenango County. These additional jobs demonstrate Frontier’s commitment to the community and its economic health. We feel that a business that offers the types of benefits and salary that we do is good for the community,” said Jim Currie, Vice President of Field Operations for the Northeast Region.
“When Frontier’s Chairman and CEO Maggie Wilderotter, visited Chenango County in August 2009, she praised the work ethic of area Frontier employees, suggesting that in light of the then pending acquisition of Verizon Territories, Sherburne could see additional jobs. Maggie is a true woman of her word and this is Frontier delivering on that promise,” Currie said.
