B-G 13, Greene 3

BAINBRIDGE – B-G jumped out to an early lead on Greene, and won the fifth-sixth place game in the Midstate Athletic Conference tournament.

Danny Gormley went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Gormley had a base-clearing double to highlight his day. Eric Oefelein finished 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI. “We had a extended layoff, and I was a little concerned about that,” said B-G coach Tim Mattingly. “We came out swinging the bats well, and Bauerle (Austin) threw five good, strong innings for us.”

B-G finished with 16 hits to improve to 9-5 on the season. Bauerle was charged with three runs in earning the win, and Oefelein pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
