NORWICH – The Monday Evening Musical Club will sponsor Oneonta’s Catskill Chamber Singers on Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main St., Norwich. The Singers will present a reprise of their spring concert, “Love is in the Air: Songs of the Heart.”

Some of the pieces to be offered include “Come Again Sweet Love,” composed by John Dowland (1597). Also on the program are “Fa Una Canzona” by Orazio Vecchi (1550-1605); the madrigal “Hard By a Fountain” (c. 1580); and Moses Hogan’s arrangement of the African-American spiritual “We Shall Walk Through The Valley In Peace.” Jerome Kern’s “All The Things You Are,” arranged for the Singers by local music scholar and retired professor Charles Burnsworth is included, as well as an arrangement of Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes.” There will be individual offerings from the women of the Chamber Singers, as well.
