At ‘Camp 4 Seasons’ kids will learn they aren’t alone in their grief. The camp will provide a safe place to share and explore loss with the support of counselors, volunteers, and other campers. “Our goal is to send kids back into the world with skills to help them cope with this loss and others they will face in their lifetime” says Hospice Bereavement Coordinator, Maureen Casey-Bryant. She says that ‘Camp 4 Seasons’ is Hospice’s opportunity to teach children healthy ways to express their feelings, meet others who are experiencing similar losses, and continue life while honoring the lost loved one.

‘Camp 4 Seasons’ will combine group grief work with fun and will encourage children to build relationships with grieving peers. “We help children in Chenango County explore their grief through activities, art projects, group circles, and games,” says Casey-Bryant.
